I was asked to put together a group
of Vancouver's best women chefs and The Girls Who Dish!, released
in the fall of 1998 spent 14 weeks on the B.C. Bestseller List.
In 1999 I
contributed and worked as associate editor on The
Girls Who Dish-Seconds Anyone? and promoted Many
Hands, Vancouver's Community Kitchens cookbook which
I worked on as volunteer editor. Through my passion
for education, I have also organized cooking classes
for Community Kitchens members, taught by some of
Vancouver's talented and generous
chefs.
I don't think of myself as a ground-breaker. I look upon myself
as an interpreter, translator and teacher. I like a wide range of
flavours and sensations, as hot and flavorful as Thai green curry
or as soft and elusive as chestnut ice cream.
